cOMMUNITY iNVOLVEMENT

Deeply rooted in our local community, we are passionate about giving back and enhancing the lives of those around us.  We could highlight many organizations that deliver dedicated and much-needed services throughout the area. 

One special organization that we are proud to support is Friends Helping Kids, Inc - Krewe de Camp.  Friends Helping Kids is a not for profit organization aimed at helping children with developmental disabilities and their families.  The staff at FHK is comprised entirely of volunteers, all of whom work regular jobs in fields such as finance, law enforcement, construction, education, and many others.  Their mission is to organize and run a traditional summer camp experience every summer for their campers.  Camp is offered to families free of charge, so that the experience is available to all families regardless of financial need.  Activities throughout the week-long camp include Arts-n-Crafts, Pool Time, Outdoor Games, and many nights bands come to perform for the kids.  All funding for camp is raised through private donations and fundraising events held throughout the year.  Camp is a wonderful experience for all who attend including the volunteers.  To learn more about Friends Helping Kids and how you can join us to support them, you can visit their webpage at www.friendshelpingkids.org.
